If you're an experienced community-engaged researcher looking to learn and exchange practical tools, “new” methods, and hard-earned insights on navigating the ethical and institutional complexities of aging research, this workshop is designed for you!
This interactive workshop will be facilitated by experienced community-based researchers, including older adults. We will draw on our experience to facilitate discussions about navigating tensions such as: institutional barriers, ethical risk assessments, and balancing organizational needs with research guidelines.
Workshop participants should come ready to discuss a case example of a tension and/or triumph (including productive tensions) in community-based research.
